Advertising campaign

Our stalls for parents evening are beginning to take shape. We have thought carefully about our market and the best way to design our stalls.

Enterprise topic

Our enterprise companies are well under way now with each company having decided to make bath bombs to sell.

Logos have been carefully designed, resources purchased and the advertising campaign is under way.

Trying healthy foods

As part of the Food Diaries Initiative, Flotta class tasted some new fruits and vegetables.

Some of our faces were a picture when we tried sour fruits!!

Well done P7 for trying so many new fruits and vegetables!!

Remembrance Day Assembly

Flotta class (P7) spent time researching Remembrance Day and what it meant to various people.  We then used our knowledge to write poems about Remembrance Day.  We read our poems out during a special Remembrance Day Assembly.  A special visitor; Ian Taylor also came to our assembly.  Once we had finished reading our poems to the school, we gave each class a poppy for remembrance.  The whole school then took part in 2 minutes silence to remember the people who have fought in war since 1914.

Our poems are displayed in our classroom.  If anyone would like to see them please come along and have a look!

K'nex Challenge - Build an Eiffel Tower

We had to make sure it was higher than 10cm and ensure it could stand unsupported.

It's not fair!!!!!

Flotta class we're given a challenge..first we had to choose which present we wanted...a big box beautifully decorated or a small box wrapped in ripped newspaper. We were then seperated into groups...group1 - people with glasses, group 2 - people with school jumpers and group 3 - the rest of the class.
Once we were in our groups we were set our challenge, and given our materials. One group was given colouring pens and  A2 paper, one group was given A4 plain paper and handwriting pens and the last group was given A4 lined paper and pencils.

We had to design a poster that told people all about things we did at school.
It's not fair!!!!!!!!! Was said frequently!! In the end the group who won the task were given their prize...luckily for them they picked the right box...a scruffily newspaper wrapped box full of sweets...not the beautifully wrapped box that was full of nothing!! We learnt that it's not what's on the outside that counts...but the inside!!
